Orera to wa – NMB48

10 Saturday Oct 2015

俺らとは (Orera to wa) – We are

from Must be now single.

——

The wind is enveloped in a fragrance
Because we’re approaching our dreams
Don’t get in our way

Flowers bloom
And wilt because of destiny
If that’s the case
Then we want a large flower

A wolf from somewhere
Wants to attain the whole world
And create a name for himself?
Don’t make us laugh

We are believers
Our hearts won’t waver
We are believers
We won’t ever give up
With comrades in mind
We keep faith in love
And become those who can oppose eternity
We’ll win and progress like this
Raising a flag as Japan’s first

Pelted by the slanting rain
Even as the leaves shiver
We stand here

Wilting in the end
Life is laughable
If it’s going to disappear
Then we want a flower without regrets

This world is a war
Betting our lives as we clash
The groups that are left
Are driven only by justice

We are fighters
We won’t turn our backs on anything
We are fighters
We won’t throw away the future
For the sake of our hometown
We dream of tomorrow
And become those who sow seeds
Climbing to the top in one breath
As we raise our shouts of victory

We are believers
Our hearts won’t waver
We are believers
We won’t ever give up
With comrades in mind
We keep faith in love
And become those who can oppose eternity
We’ll win and progress like this
Raising a flag as Japan’s first

Performed by Team B II.

空腹で恋愛をするな (Kuufuku de renai wo suru na) – Don’t fall in love on an empty stomach

Must be now / NMB48 Must be now / NMB48
from Must be now single.

——

After wasting your time at a boring blind date
You were brought home for a one-night stand, foolish friend

You’ll notice, once you wake from your dreams
That gaudy dude sleeping beside you
You’ve done it

Don’t fall in love on an empty stomach
You’ll end up eating anything, you know?
Yes, even though you don’t really like it
You have it as a snack…
NG!
Don’t fall in love on an empty stomach
You’ll start reaching for junk food, you know?
Even though you can usually restrain yourself…
You’ll regret
This snitching
So eat your fill
And choose something delicious

Bear in mind that you won’t find the special one
Through a friend’s recommendation!

You’ll hear from her afterwards
“I didn’t know he’s that kind of guy
Sorry…”

Don’t go for a fateless romance
Ban all forced meetings
Men who seduce you at those places
Are just fishing…
NG!
Don’t go for a fateless romance
Until destiny becomes your ally
Pretending to be lovers is futile
Don’t be impatient
Surprise
The moment you think
“I’m not in love now”…

Don’t fall in love on an empty stomach
You’ll end up eating anything, you know?
Yes, even though you don’t really like it
You have it as a snack…
NG!
Don’t fall in love on an empty stomach
You’ll start reaching for junk food, you know?
Even though you can usually restrain yourself…
You’ll regret
This snitching
So eat your fill
And choose something delicious

Good-bye, Guitar – NMB48

10 Saturday Oct 2015

Performed by Team M.

Must be now / NMB48 Must be now / NMB48
from Must be now single.

——

Play the guitar for me
One more time
Instead of saying goodbye…

Before the train stopped at the platform dashes off
Don’t let me regret that fact that we’d loved
Kind words will only make me cry
So I want memories

If you are dreaming in a faraway city
Don’t worry about me

Play the guitar for me
One more time
The voice of your heart
Let me hear
The chord of tears
So that I won’t forget about love…
Blue moonlight
Shine sweetly and sadly
Youth is
Always a selfish request

The railway that runs on forever
Until the wishes stuffed in my bag come true
Leaving the Radio by the window on
I think of days past

Even should the guitar strings break
Dreams will always be replaced…

Play the guitar for me
One more time
Like that day’s kiss…
Let me hear
Romance’s arpeggio
I want to hum softly
Even now, I love you!
I’ll never forget
Your pick
Rests in my hand, a treasure

Play the guitar for me
One more time
The voice of your heart
Let me hear
The chord of tears
So that I won’t forget about love…
Blue moonlight
Shine sweetly and sadly
Youth is
Always a selfish request

Mori no miyako no oka-march – One Piece

10 Saturday Oct 2015

Posted by Misa-chan in Anime OSTs, lyrics, One Piece, Yao Kazuki

Performed by Bon Kurei / Mr. 2 (VA: Yao Kazuki)

杜の都のオカマーチ (Mori no miyako no okamaachi) – Oka-march in the forested capital

from ONE PIECE Nippon juudan! 47 Cruise CD in Miyagi Mori no miyako no oka-march single.

——

Head to the north, I’m here in the forested capital, never stopping my progress
Putting on pointe shoes, I twirl around Tohoku
Zun, da zun, da beef, tongue
Zun, da zun, da beef, tongue

Sasa-come on, starry étoile
Donning a crescent kabuto helmet, this dandy will guard the city

My goal is the legendary sleeping crater at the top of Mt Zao
I’m not sure what I’ll find there, but
I’ll become the okama king and grasp something yo~

Eating sasakama, checking my makeup, a wonderful meeting is a journey’s beginning
White skin and sweet fragrance, sasakama is an okama’s nakama
Crossing the rugged field, over the mountain, like a swan dancing high in the sky!
Lunging fists, sasakama kenpo, I’m an okama prima donna

Snow, moon, flowers, beauty, I gaze upon the four best sceneries
As I explore Matsushima

Doesn’t matter that I’m a hammer okama-sing, I have a pleasure boat, no, a swan boat
I’ll paddle on with my well-toned shapely legs
Wait a minute, why am I going the opposite way yo~?

What’s going on? Dabadaa dabadaa
There’s no time to linger
What are you saying? Dabadaa dabadaa
This really isn’t a joke
Let’s proceed with a plié pas
Dashing up from the sea to the mountain
Hurry up, look, lulube chasse
Just let your mood soar up and up

I’ve reached the end of my journey, the okama king’s legendary spot
There’s no treasure to be found, but the view of the Five Colored Lake is the best, right?
What’s important is formless, like the shifting colors of the lakewater
Let it pile in your heart and form a layer, if you get it, then you’re the strongest
I’m the strongest, right?!!!

——

Misa’s note:
– Oka-march is a combination of the words “okama (transvestite)” and “march”.
– Similarly, okama can also be translated as “volcanic crater”.
– Sasakama is a type of fishcake dish.
– Nakama can be translated as comrade.

EAT WORLD, TAKE ALL – One Piece

10 Saturday Oct 2015

Performed by Jewelry Bonney (VA: Kiuchi Reiko)

from ONE PIECE Nippon juudan! 47 Cruise CD in Iwate EAT WORLD, TAKE ALL single.

——

I’m hungry~!!!

Oh damn! So good!
Bracken, abalone, Like that
Isn’t this super awesome?
Heart’s rouge!
So, open wide and stuff your cheeks
Everything’s so delicious

The left brain’s prudent
More calories, Give me Give me
Getting energy
The right brain’s greedy, eat it all
You know! Eat world Take all

Come~!
Rookies, four emperors, marines, admirals
Nobody’s an enemy, So, eat up, eating KING WINNER
One bowl, Two bowls, Three bowls, 1000 bowls
I eat it all but Get no satisfaction
Hungry NOW, hungry NOW
If my stomach’s EMPTY, I can’t fight
No rush, what’s the bill?
Go! Go! Go!

Oh damn! So good!
Jaja noodles, seaweed, Like that
Totally can’t stop
Even as an adult!
Or a child, or old hag
My craving won’t change

Leave an impression with your tongue
Come on, Show me Show me
Once you get synergy
The impulse won’t end, eat it all
You know! Eat world Take all

Come~!
Giants, mermaids, agents, mutants
Kick them out! So midriff and eating KING WINNER
One chilled noodles, Two chilled noodles, Three chilled noodles, 1000 chilled noodles
I eat it all but Get no satisfaction
Take care NOW, take care NOW
Can’t settle the INSECT in my stomach
At this rate, hah! All of Iwate, OH!
Will be eaten

Things like reminiscence are all his fault, his fault
So I’ll go in search
Let’s go, come, to the new world, don’t get in my way
Or I won’t forgive you!

Come~!
Rookies, four emperors, marines, admirals
Nobody’s an enemy, So, eat up, eating KING WINNER
One bowl, Two bowls, Three bowls, 1000 bowls
I eat it all but Get no satisfaction
Hungry NOW, hungry NOW
If my stomach’s EMPTY, I can’t fight
No rush, what’s the bill?
Go! Go! Go!

My stomach is still not satisfied
More~!!!

——

Misa’s note:
There’s a play on the phrase “shoku KING WINNER”, as it means “eating KING WINNER” but also sounds like “shocking winner”.

Nebuta no tora – One Piece

10 Saturday Oct 2015

Posted by Misa-chan in Anime OSTs, lyrics, One Piece, Sawaki Ikuya

Performed by Isshou / Fujitora (VA: Sawaki Ikuya)

ねぶたの虎 (Nebuta no tora) – Nebuta tiger

from ONE PIECE Nippon juudan! 47 Cruise CD in Aomori Nebuta no tora single.

——

Arriving at Hell’s casino, I bet on justice
The world is divided into odds and evens
I should be able to see nothing, but
Malicious faces are so easy to spot
Scoundrels filling these pubs
And degenerated justice will never change

Rassera Rassera Rassera Rassera
No need to rush, now’s not the time
The Nebuta tiger is unmoved by deception
The business of karma
Rassera Rassera, depends on the answer
Rassera Rassera, of the raging tiger

Arriving in this territory of respect, I sheathe my sword
The heavens see all
Give your body to the festival
Indeed, with an uplifting spirit
Life is full of good and evil
But there is no difference between heavy and light

Rassera Rassera Rassera Rassera
No need to rush, now’s not the time
The Nebuta tiger hides its fangs
The moment when all becomes transitory
Rassera Rassera, with no fear of the gods
Rassera Rassera, the tiger roars

Rassera Rassera
Scoundrels filling these pubs
And degenerated justice will never change

Rassera Rassera Rassera Rassera
No need to rush, now’s not the time
The Nebuta tiger is unmoved by deception
The business of karma
Rassera Rassera, depends on the answer
Rassera Rassera, of the raging tiger

——

Misa’s note:
Nebuta is a summer nighttime festival in Aomori. Nebuta refers to the float of a brave warrior-figure which is carried through the center of the city, while dancers wearing a unique type of costume called “haneto” dance around in time with the chant “Rassera”.

NORTH BLUE ROAD – One Piece

10 Saturday Oct 2015

Posted by Misa-chan in Anime OSTs, Koyasu Takehito, lyrics, One Piece

Performed by Kuzan / Aokiji (VA: Koyasu Takehito)

from ONE PIECE Nippon juudan! 47 Cruise CD in Hokkaido NORTH BLUE ROAD single.

——

The pages that had become legend
I watch on from a distance, a HAPPY MAN
How miserable? GIVE ME A BREAK
With scars from that slackened justice
I’d severed off from, SEE YOU AGAIN
I’ll go to tomorrow, my own way
This sky, that sea
If we get too close, we fail to see its vastness
Where did these beautiful ice floes come from?
I don’t know, KNOCK MY LIFE

Wandering the NORTH BLUE ROAD
A rough frozen way
With a single bicycle tightroping on my heart
Just the NORTH BLUE ROAD
Ahh, the hands of the clock tower can’t be turned back
This world will go wild
GET OUT! GET UP! GET DOWN!
By anyone’s hand

Forced upon by
Rotten morals, an ANGRY MAN
I’m old-fashioned? GIVE ME A BREAK
Even the blazing snow storm
Heads towards miracles, SEE YOU AGAIN
Transform it into objet d’art with those hands
Trapped in this tiny box
So that when the time came to fly, my wings
Hurt, and in the end, even my own memories
Can’t be protected, KNOCK MY LIFE

Lost on the NORTH BLUE ROAD
At the end of the rough forest
I’ll find my own answer, an expanding FRONTIER
The glittering NORTH BLUE ROAD
Ahh, confusion, deliberate melancholy
To the fellow traveller embracing them
GET OUT! GET UP! GET DOWN!
We’re alive

Wandering the NORTH BLUE ROAD
On this solid earth, whistling
With a single bicycle dashing across the fields
Just the NORTH BLUE ROAD
Ahh, frolicking with the wind wherever we go
In my own way
GET OUT! GET UP! GET DOWN!
Just moving forward

Because I don’t wish to be
“A wolf in sheep’s skin”

——

Misa’s note:
“Ii furikoki no ganbe takari” is a native Hokkaido saying used to describe something that looks beautiful on the outside but is actually rotten/ugly within. I thought “wolf in sheep’s skin” was the most fitting metaphor in this case.
